It is with much regret that we have had to take the proactive decision to postpone the Inspiring Cities conference planned for 30-31 March 2020.

The growing number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus, travel bans in place in some European countries, organisational planning discussed with us by fellow conference partners, and the imminent restriction of travel in the UK over the following weeks and months to contain the spread of Covid-19 has led us to the conclusion that it is in the interests of all parties to make this difficult decision as early as possible. The health and safety of our delegates, speakers, volunteers and venue partners must be our priority in this instance.

Making this decision now we hope will minimise the impact and disruption to people’s schedule and remove any uncertainty.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has committed time, money and energy into preparing for the Inspiring Cities conference, especially our wonderful volunteers and our outstanding speakers and Lab facilitators. We hope that we will be able to convene and restart these important conversations in the not too distant future.

A huge thanks also to our sponsors and organising partners who have been incredibly supportive of our endeavours to bring about the conference.

We aim to continue the discussions via our social media, and we are also looking to potentially host virtual meetings in the near future. Do follow us on Twitter and Facebook and join the conversation as we continue to push for creating intelligent and inclusive cities across the UK.
